As the Manager, Life & Health Distribution, you will contribute to the overall success of Scotia Insurance Agency’s Life & Health Business across third-party service providers, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. You will also ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Drive Scotia Insurance Agencysales within assigned third-party service providers and contribute to Insurance Canada growth targets

  • Support annual Revenue and NIAT objectives specific to assigned third-party service providers

  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge

  • Build and sustain relationships with third-party service provider leadership team to influence management engagement and garner support for Scotia Insurance Agency’s business growth within assigned accounts

  • Providecoaching, training and support to the inbound and outbound teams within assigned third-party service providers that results in a high level of knowledge and understanding of Life and Health Insurance products (including benefits, suitability for customers, conditions, limitations and exclusions), sales practices, best practices and internal policies

  • Deliver motivating presentations and “train-the-trainer” sessions to third-party service providers and internal partners

  • Understand Call Center Metrics, data and reporting, including Key Performance Indicators that drive sales performance

  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions

  • Champions a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field; PFP, CFP, LLQP, AMP designations are a strong asset

  • Significant Contact Centre sales experience in the financial services industry

  • Thorough understanding of Contact Centers, third-party service providers and alignment of these channels (i.e. the roles and goals of each stakeholder and how they align to achieve overall Bank objectives)

  • Thorough understanding of insurance and financial planning concepts

  • Strong sales management, sales coaching, marketing and persuasive presentation/facilitation skills

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and build strong partnerships with management and sales teams

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to disseminate key ideas and information to sales teams in a simple and effective manner

  • Highly motivated self-starter who can be effective with minimal day-to-day supervision

  • Fluency in English and French languages are preferred

  • The ability to travel to Contract Centres across the Greater Toronto Area and occasionally locations outside of Ontario
