As a member of the Enterprise Communications team, the Manager, Finance Communications, plans, develops and delivers communications in support of the Bank's Global Finance department and Office of the Chief Financial Officer, as well as broader Enterprise Communications initiatives. Additional responsibilities include driving stronger employee engagement and assisting with the Bank's quarterly reporting communications.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
Plan, develop and execute internal and external communication strategies and plans in support of the Global Finance function, including positioning and key message development, stakeholder analysis, tactical communications planning, and coordination with other communications partners to advance strategic priorities and drive stakeholder engagement.
Partner with other teams and departments to execute communication distribution processes including translation, distribution list management and delivery across multiple internal communication channels.
Provide support for the Bank's quarterly reporting communications (e.g. media advisories, key messages, etc.).
Assist in the drafting of executive communications, including speaking notes, media briefs and social media.
Plan and provide logistical support for department and/or employee meetings and events (e.g., Town Halls, executive meetings, Lunch and Learns, etc.).
Manage Global Finance communication channels (e.g., Intranet site, digital social platforms, etc.).
Supports on other Global Finance or enterprise-wide communications initiatives as needed, including media relations activities
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have experience with:
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience developing and executing employee communications, preferably in the financial services industry and with experience working across different creative mediums including digital, video and social.
Proven ability to build and maintain business relationships, including those with senior-level employees and executives.
Ability to balance multiple priorities and work well independently.
Ability to work flexibly and prioritize in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
Familiarity with graphic design programs is an asset (including but not limited to Illustrator, PowerPoint).
Basic knowledge of HTML is helpful but not essential.
Strong event management and project/program management skills.
Post-secondary diploma or degree in communications, journalism or equivalent experience.
Minimum of five (5) years working experience in a corporate communications or marketing communications role in a complex, dynamic, knowledge-based environment.
