Element Fleet Management Lead Desktop Support Technician in Toronto, Ontario

What We Need

We are looking for a Lead Desktop Support Technician who will play a critical part in engineering top-notch products and services in a unique industry and at a rapidly growing organization.

As the Lead Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Microsoft Windows 10 and Mac OS desktop and laptop computers, printers and peripherals. The Lead Desktop Support Specialist will act as the Subject matter expert and point of escalation; you will work closely with other members of the information technology department to support all business and IT users.

A Day in the Life

  • Subject Matter Expert for Element’s System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)

  • Lead Deskside resource for End User related Change activity

  • Problem management - root cause analysis and problem creation to drive down tickets and improve DSS processes

  • Provide backup support to the Email Administrator for Azure AD and O365 environments

  • Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with all organizational departments to optimize working partnership and communication

  • Document and maintain procedures according to departmental standards

  • Act as Deskside Support point of contact with Vendors

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 1-3 years technical work experience with a minimum of 1 years experience in an IT Systems Support production environment supporting Windows 10 and Mac OS

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, and related network services (i.e. DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etc)

  • Some knowledge of Active Directory concepts and administration

  • Experience with System Center Configuration Manager

  • Experience supporting O365 / MS Office and a variety of WiFi-enabled devices

  • Prior knowledge in supporting remote users

  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
