POSITION OVERVIEW
Join The Globe and Mail, Canada's leading news organization, and play a pivotal role in shaping the digital experiences of users across Canada and beyond. As an iOS Developer, you will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, technical excellence and innovation.
What You Will Do:
Develop new features and functionalities for our iOS app, focusing on enhancing the user experience for our loyal customers.
Participate in code reviews, conduct thorough testing, and ensure adherence to best practices to maintain high code quality.
Document technical specifications and architecture to contribute to future maintenance and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with a talented team of individuals, continuously learning and growing alongside them.
Your Qualifications and Experience:
4+ years of experience as an iOS Developer or similar role.
Expertise in iOS SDK, Swift, CocoaPods, and Xcode instrumentation, with some previous exposure to Objective-C.
Experience integrating web APIs and third-party SDKs into previous projects.
Proficiency in git for version control and Crashlytics or similar for monitoring app stability.
Knowledge of iOS accessibility, performance, and security standards.
Experience with in-app purchases, push notifications, and releasing applications to the App Store.
Familiarity with agile development and cross-functional teamwork.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
Creative thinking and a collaborative mindset.
