About the teams

Our Strategy, Risk and Transaction (SRT) business-line assists organizations in navigating a wide range of business risks and opportunities, from strategic and financial to operational and regulatory, providing comprehensive services across all critical areas.You can select up to two teams you interested in from the following:

  • Capital Projects Our Capital Projects team is comprised of some 40 professionals nationally who are dedicated to helping our clients successfully deliver large-scale capital projects and programs on time and on budget. We also help our clients reduce risk and achieve the best value from their portfolios of capital projects. Deloitte’s Capital Projects team brings practical solutions and adds value at every stage of the project lifecycle for clients in highly competitive multi-billion dollar international engineering and construction industries. We are experienced consultants, project and program managers, planners and project controllers, architects, engineers, construction managers, contract managers, quantity surveyors and related management functions.   • Corporate Finance Our corporate finance professionals enhance value through the delivery of strategic advice and execution services to owner managed mid-market companies, large corporations and financial institutions who are seeking M&A advice that complement their growth strategies.We work with clients throughout the M&A life cycle from defining our clients’ objectives, creating marketing materials, contacting potential acquirers, negotiating agreements with our clients’ legal team and closing a transaction.Our strategic advisory services include analysis and development of:

  • Value realization programs including initial public offerings, recapitalizations, or exits via divestiture for corporations, private equity firms, and family enterprises

  • Optimal capital structures and financing options for companies at all stages of their capital life cycle

  • Growth strategies incorporating business partnerships or structured acquisition programs

Transaction execution services include:

  • Divestiture of businesses (non-core, succession, growth)

  • Deal Transformation & Post Merger Integration Statistics show that 60% of M&A transactions fail. The Deal Transformation & Post-Merger Integration practice exists to help solve this problem. We deliver value to clients throughout their entire M&A journey and support them on what can be one of the biggest challenges of their career. Working collaboratively within integrated, cross-functional teams, our practitioners are involved through all phases of the M&A lifecycle, including strategy, operational readiness, due diligence, pre-and post-close planning and execution, and follow-on transformation. We work across industries to deliver a range of services including defining the vision, strategy, and operating model for business functions; assessing system architecture; process design; business case development; assessment of potential value creation and deal structure; operational and commercial due diligence; and integration/separation planning. Additionally, enterprise profitability engagements assist clients with optimizing their business models and improving the bottom line.

  • Financial Crime

Deloitte’s team of Financial Crime professionals advises clients on a wide range of financial crime issues and concerns. Our team identifies and investigates a wide range of financial crimes including allegations of fraud, money laundering, bribery and corruption, other financial irregularities and regulatory issues impacting clients in Canada and worldwide across all industries. We apply a variety of quantitative and qualitative techniques to analyze and mitigate alleged incidents and misconduct, identify the participants, secure evidence, locate/recover misappropriated assets and bring about a timely resolution to financial litigation.

  • Infrastructure and Real Estate

Having advised on many of the world’s largest and most complex infrastructure projects and transactions, we provide clients with the best advice on the challenges facing them today, as well as the vision to consider those yet to surface.

Optimizing the return and outcomes throughout the lifecycle of an asset takes a highly skilled and experienced team of specialists. Our Infrastructure Advisory team offers an end-to-end service for investors, government agencies, developers, and operators of infrastructure assets and businesses in both the public and private sectors across the entire infrastructure lifecycle.

Our team works with strategic and financial investors on Infrastructure M&A transactions, with all levels of the Canadian public sector on infrastructure delivery including business case development and infrastructure procurement, and with International Development Organizations (i.e. World Bank Group) and international governments on infrastructure delivery and capacity building. Our work spans various asset classes including but not limited to Social Infrastructure (Education, Healthcare, Government Facilities, etc.), Transportation (Roads, Airports, Rail, etc.), Environmental (Water, Wastewater, Solid Waste, etc.), Power and Utilities, Midstream Infrastructure, and Telecom Infrastructure.

We are seeking ambitious Indigenous students who are passionate about making a differenceand meet thefollowing criteria:

  • You are eligible to work in Canada.

  • You self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis)

  • You are enrolled in post-secondary education in Canada (full-time or part-time)

  • You are interested in completing a 4-month, full-time work term at Deloitte in Summer 2025.

  • You are a Creative thinker, who’s excited by innovation and embraces change .

  • Curious and committed to continuous learning and professional development.

  • Have research, analytical or problem-solving skills.

  • Have strong computer skills – Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, etc.).

Quebec: We require basic English language skills to meet the needs of our clients. In the context of mandates, you could work for clients with activities outside of Quebec and where the first language is English.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $42,000.00 - $66,000.00, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
