Major Responsibilities:
Ensures operation of security gates and passenger access
Ensures compound is secure, clear of hazards and debris, and meets all aspects of MARSEC protocol
Communicates delays and provides information to patrons as directed by Captain/mates/supervisors
Ensures assistance to patrons with accessibility needs
Key Qualifications:
Your application must describe your qualifications as they relate to:
Experience in customer service delivery dealing directly with the public and/or staff. (In-person, phone, e-mail etc.)
Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent combination of education & experience
You must also have:
Must be physically capable of performing required duties.
Ability to handle operation of security gates and passenger access.
Ability to keep work and passenger access areas free of hazards and debris.
Ability to meet all aspects of Marine Security (MARSEC) protocol and regulations.
Must be available to work weekends, holidays and shifts as assigned.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to deal courteously with the public and staff.
Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the provisions that apply to this work including WHMIS.
Must be able to work outdoors and in all weather conditions.
