The role:

Contributes to the overall success of theGlobal Payments &Retail PaymentsCore Banking Engineeringteam,ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conductedare in compliance withgoverning regulations, internalpoliciesand procedures.

What will you do?

  • Coordinate and support day to day developmentteam activities as per the BNS policies/processes

  • Coordinate workin accordance withproject implementationschedules

  • Pro-actively plan and manage diverse projects that differ in size and scope from theirinceptionto delivery overseeingexecution

  • Collaborate and plan work activities with application and support partners BNS (QAT, REM, MVS admins, etc.)

  • Work with the team and stakeholderto prioritizeoptimalvalue Delivery within agreed upontimeframes

  • Lead the team witha continuousimprovement mindset and promote an environment of curiosity and experimentation

  • Guide the team in adopting new ways ofworking, exploring enhancement in ways that align with the Bank’s strategic prioritiesie-costoptimization,stabilization,delivery of new capabilities

  • Offhours workisrequiredto coordinate andfacilitatereleases andsupport delivery and deployment activities

  • Support complex applications that are critical to theBank’s transaction posting capabilities

  • Act with urgency and criticality, evaluate problems blockers andbottlenecks ,identifyactions to be taken,assistthe teamto recommend/implement solutions

  • Understand and workin accordance withBank application architecturalguidelines

  • Support ofthe Bank’stransformation in operating models, Agilemindsetand passion for change

  • Facilitate and support the team inself inspectionand experimenting ways forimprovement

  • Facilitate team cadences and working agreements that allow for the team to create support andmaintainthe work from planning through delivery ofvalue

  • Conduct testing of new software releases to ensure successful implementation with no impact to the existingenvironments.

  • Interact with business partners and stakeholders to collaborate,alignand resolveissues

  • Ongoing communication of project status, as well as escalation of issues, whenrequired

  • Foster a learning environment, that promotes inclusivity, collaboration and

  • Flexibility and adaptability with an eagerness toenhance

What do you need to succeed?

  • Off hours support isrequiredto coordinate andassistteam members in the support of our production environment in pager calls and outages.

  • Minimum5+ years’ experience inSoftware Delivery /Project Management andminimum5+years'of mainframe/host/Cloud development

  • Knowledge of Confluence, Jira, Service Now, Bitbucket/Jenkins, Release Management

  • Operate with a sense of urgency anddetermination

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills

  • Capable of multi-tasking and managing concurrent tasks and initiatives

  • Results driven; forward thinking with aproblem solvingmentality

  • Comfortable working in highly collaborative and changingenvironment

  • Must be reliable, pro-active, customer-focused, attentive to details, and a teamplayer

  • Certification in AgileFramework isan asset

  • Application languages (Cobol, JCL, SQL, Java, Kotlin) is anasset

  • Familiar with Network, LAN TCP/IP,securityand communication protocol concepts

  • Data Power experience desirable

  • Excellent communicationskills, positive attitude with a strong commitment to Team vs individualbehaviors

  • Leadership qualities with previous experience in Leading a Team

  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or technical equivalent
