What you’ll be doing

As a member of CIBC’s Chief Data Office Transformation team, reporting to the Senior Director, Transformation, the Director, People Change Management is a seasoned professional responsible for leading the design, development and execution of people change strategies and execution for the Chief Data Office and its key programs related to improving CIBC’s data posture. This role leads a team of L7s and L8s (including full time roles and contractors) and drives strategic thinking, thought leadership, innovation and change management excellence across our initiatives.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

  • Effective Delivery and Managing Through Change: You take a holistic view to change management on large, transformational programs. You drive, manage and execute projects and initiatives with a focus on change management while supporting the business goals, objectives and outcomes. You build and implement strategic roadmaps, embedding change management methodology, to deliver relevant tools and change tactics that provides the right level of engagement with key stakeholders, while supporting the enterprise in effectively transitioning through the identified change towards the desired state.

  • Ownership Mindset: You anticipate emerging trends and future needs to build and develop strategies to support our change management deliverables. This includes identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to evolve the way change management is designed and delivered.

  • Strong Leadership: You are a strong leader who has the ability to build collaboration between team members, share learning and lead through change

  • Analytics : Perform data analysis to identify and support change management opportunities and identify business efficiencies. Conduct in-depth reviews of the data in order to derive insights and provide recommendations in relation to change development or execution opportunities to support executive decision making.

  • Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to storyboard and develop recommendations. You have a proven track record in creating materials meant to be shared at Executive Forums and are skillful in using Microsoft’s suite of products.

  • Relationship Building: You act both autonomously and collaboratively. You forge strong relationships with various teams, by working with internal and external partners.

Who you are

  • You have a degree/diploma in Business, Change Management or a related field. You have 7+ years of experience with People Change Management concepts with a focus on change delivery.

  • You can demonstrate experience in change management and strategy development. It’s an asset if you have an understanding of Prosci’s ADKAR methodology.
