What you’ll be doing

Direct Marketing Strategy and Transformation is responsible for the strategy, road map and setup of the technology for delivering one-to-one direct marketing communications for CIBC clients that will lead CIBC to become the #1 bank in client experience. The team supports the marketing technology that is used for managing campaign execution of client leads that increase client engagement, client acquisition and client retention for business lines such as Credit Cards, Deposits, Lending, Insurance through various channels such as Branch, Call Centres, Email, etc.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Direct Marketing Strategy and Transformation, this Director role is responsible for leading large transformational improvements for personalized direct marketing. This includes overseeing a cross functional team of technology, marketing, and product partners to deliver integrated marketing capabilities. Key areas of focus will be design, setup and test of marketing solutions that support personalized client centric marketing campaigns.

The Director will also oversee ongoing roadmap initiatives for marketing technology in support of greater personalization and effectiveness.

How you’ll succeed

  • Transformational Delivery – Lead the business setup of Salesforce Marketing Cloud workstream for Real-time engagement offers based on client purchasing and transactional behaviour. Provide highly specialized advice and consultation to technology and business partners to setup transformational changes to the direct marketing program.

  • Process Improvement and Optimization – Verify that the system accurately meets defined business expectations including overseeing user acceptance testing and confirming that performance requirements are achieved. Lead analytical and business impact assessments for input into business cases. Oversee improvements to existing business processes to increase campaign volume, efficiencies and effectiveness. Consult with stakeholders to optimize client journey trigger campaigns and develop business rules and automation.

  • Leadership – Lead the marketing direct business team in their work with product groups, technical leads, and stakeholders to define, pilot and launch new functionalities within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Manage the delivery of new and enhanced initiatives within CIBC’s marketing technology and personalization roadmap.
