What you’ll be doing

As the Director, Identity and Access Planning, part of the broader Cyber Security Integration and Innovation team, you will collaborate with peers and partners responsible for Service Management, Application Development, Operations entities and Governance teams to provide complex consulting for identity & access management across CIBC to support enterprise plans. You will work with peers to understand operational opportunities, roadmaps and projects to assist in the integration of privileged identity and access as it aligns with our mandate and CIBC priorities.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote

How you’ll succeed

  • Deliver integrated IAM plans – You will be responsible for delivering integrated IAM plans with the realization of consistent and sustainable identity and access management practices across enterprise frameworks

  • Service Lifecycle Management - Understanding operational processes, mandates, challenges and success criteria to incorporate into service lifecycle management planning and operational sustainability

  • Awareness of Regulatory landscape - Knowledge of key controls, compliance, regulatory requirements and deficiencies as they relate to the IAM space

  • Consulting - Working with peers through the evolution of planning to support business cases, enterprise delivery framework, and delivery to become a reality

  • Engagement - Engaging with peers throughout the organization to understand business priorities, requirements, technology, processes to ensure broader alignment for success

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience in Identity and Access Management as well as risk management and information security practices. It’s an asset if you have your CISSP or other security designations

  • You have a degree/diploma in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field

  • You are fluent with technologies like SailPoint IdentityIQ, CyberArk, IdP technologies, such as Entra ID, along with modern authentication, & MFA. It’s an asset if you’re fluent with Microsoft Azure and the Microsoft Azure suite of security technologies
