POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Acquisition Manager to join our Subscriptions Revenue team. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to execute on the acquisition marketing plan and deliver on acquisition targets through an omni-channel experience across all channels – Onsite, Email, Paid Media platforms and App. This role will also be responsible for identifying and defining target customer segments, customer journey, and developing ad creative strategies with a test and learn approach to improve conversions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute on omni-channel digital subscription acquisition plans based on target audience and campaign objectives across all channels - Onsite, Email, Paid Media platforms and App.

  • Grow acquisition through targeted campaigns keeping an omni-channel approach by defining key customer segments and journey.

  • Work with internal and external partners to develop ad creative strategies and execute on these strategies for our acquisition campaigns.

  • Manage and grow onsite acquisitions via the dynamic paywall, pencils, onsite banners and interstitials and other onsite vectors.

  • Collaborate with our Paid Media partners to launch campaigns on our paid platforms and improve performance.

  • Design testing plans to improve conversions across all channels and iterate on creative testing strategy.

  • Integrate with product and operational teams to identify key opportunities to heighten the customer journey & experience especially for the purchase funnel.

  • Develop insights into customer behaviour and work with internal and external partners to define target segments.

  • Keep up to date with best practices in digital subscription marketing, both within and outside the industry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary degree from a recognized institution in a related field.A bachelor degree in Commerce and a specialization in Marketing would be an asset.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant role experience.

  • Marketing management knowledge and experience with a high-level understanding of digital media and experience in subscription/membership marketing.

  • Ability to execute marketing campaigns from end to end - bringing marketing plans to life in market across different channels.

  • A strong understanding of paid media campaign execution and performance.

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Canadian content landscape, particularly news.

  • A strong understanding of conversion funnel analysis.

  • Ability to communicate across different functional teams and with external vendors/ partners.

  • Collaborative style; works well with others.

  • Strong oral & written communication skills
