KPMG Data Analyst, Audit Centre in Toronto, Ontario

Overview

The Audit Learning team is tasked with design and delivery of effective learning solutions that support audit quality of the engagement teams.

The Data analyst will work as part of the Audit Learning team to generate and analyze learning and key performance indicator reports that will inform prompt action and leadership decisions, allowing the learning to be delivered on time.

What you will do

  • Implement measurement strategy as required

  • Define logic and/or algorithms required to perform data analysis on large volumes of data

  • Work with unique data analytic programs to deliver critical reports that support learning administration and leadership action

  • Identify issues / challenges and provide solutions to Learning team, in support of Audit Quality

  • Build KPI dashboards to support leadership decisions and action

  • Design, implement, coordinate or leverage automation to enhance work efficiencies

What you bring to the role

  • Diploma or bachelor’s in computer science, Database Management or Programming (or similar programs)

  • Proficiency and knowledgeable with databases including SQL, My SQL, Oracle etc.

  • Proficiency and knowledgeable with analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Python, R, Alteryx, Microsoft PowerApps/Power Automate.

  • Experience with SQL code scripting, including creation/implementation of API’s and debugging ability.

  • Strong Statistical Knowledge and Mathematical Foundations.

  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) – ability to work with multiple stakeholders, communicate priorities and manage expectations.

  • Resourcefulness and creative problem-solving skills – you are a proactive person and always come up with new ideas and ways of working forward.

  • Proven time management and organizational skills

  • Knowledge of data extraction tools and utilities.

  • Proficiency in English at a business level is required.

This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders while at KPMG. The successful candidate will be required to create, interpret and/or apply policies, practices, laws and and/or regulations during the regular course of their employment.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $53,000 to $79,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
