What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll primarily be supporting the Client Strategy, Marketing, Product and Sales teams at Investor’s Edge (IE), the self-directed investing platform of CIBC. You will collaborate with sales, marketing, product, business insights and operation teams to identify and address business needs by leveraging data and analytics. This includes supporting marketing offers and the charging of annual fees. This role requires a background in research, data analysis and data-driven decision making skills. It is the launching pad for a career, with an opportunity to learn about and support many areas of the online brokerage business.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How You’ll Succeed
Analytical Thinking - You'll have access to a variety of data sources from web analytics, sales, transactions, demographic & qualitative. Through strong analytical skills you will identify important trends, insights and suggestions to increase sales or enhance the client experience. Prior experience extracting and analyzing data using SQL, Python, or another data package, and presenting your insights in Excel, Tableau, Power BI or similar tools are good to have. Excel duties could include financial modelling, reporting on marketing campaign and calculating NPVs of campaigns or initiatives.
Time Management - Manage multiple concurrent objectives, project, groups and activities, while prioritizing and allocating time effectively.
Collaborative Working - By working with the different teams across CIBC Investor’s Edge, you will help identify and/or action key opportunities to improve client experience and sales.
Data Management – Working directly with internal team and multiple stakeholders to pull requested reports and data.
Project Management – Experience in articulating business requirements to Project and/or Technology partners, to automate repetitive tasks and source required data.
Who You Are
You have degree or diploma in engineering, business, STEM or related field.
You demonstrate 2+ years’ experience working in the financial services industry or in the Canadian online brokerage industry using SQL, Excel, Tableau, Adobe Analytics (required).
