What you'll be doing

You will be joining CIBC’s Technology Operations group which delivers world class solutions in support of business strategies, through a combination of in-house systems development and working with leading technology partners. You will be responsible for the development & visualization of reports by building data models of large and diverse datasets related to infrastructure, applications and financials. Due to the size and complexity of the portfolio, this role will support interaction with various teams to capture requirements and translate them into predictive analytics by rationalizing inventory, tracking overall project delivery and summarizing detailed information in order to communicate findings in an impactful way.

How you'll succeed

  • Data Reporting - Gather, analyze and report on IT assets inventory data for on-prem and public cloud technology infrastructure. Develop a reporting framework to capture risk associated with technology assets through their lifecycle (acquisition, build, operations, remediation plans when approaching End of Life, migration, and retirement).

  • Data Forensics - Assist teams in sourcing and managing data for reporting and ongoing day-to-day operations. Work with engineers, project managers and financial teams to assess information for analysis and reporting.

  • Data Modeling - Work with subject matter experts in order to build new data models and recommend ways to improve existing ones. Design, develop and maintain reports and dashboards for a variety of TO functions. Interpret the findings and assist with technical recommendations to engineering and business applications teams.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate 3 years experience with ServiceNow’s CMDB. 3 years of experience using SQL queries and Excel. Must have a University degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You can demonstrate experience working with large volumes of data. ITIL foundation certification is an asset.
