What you'll be doing

The Enterprise Anti-Money Laundering (EAML) Group is responsible for all aspects of CIBC's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Terrorist Financing (ATF) and Sanctions regime, including development of policies and procedures, development and delivery of training, and reviewing the activities of CIBC's business and infrastructure groups, and investigative activities, including the receipt and analysis of information that may indicate money laundering, terrorist financing or sanctions violation, or other high-risk activity.

Reporting to the Director EAML Strategy & Reporting, Enterprise Anti Money Laundering (EAML) the Consultant will be responsible for supporting the development and advancement of the EAML divisional strategy which includes establishing our winning aspiration, defining our strategic roadmap to achieving our goals and engaging key stakeholders across EAML to track progress against our goals. With a focus on strategic execution, the incumbent will leverage their knowledge of internal and external trends coupled with strong analytical skills to document and manage the EAML strategic plans including resource forecasting and reporting.

How you’ll succeed

  • Divisional Strategy - Support the design, plan and execution of the EAML multi-year strategic roadmap to achieve EAML’s goals. This includes planning and operationalizing sessions with senior leaders.

  • Strategy Planning - Support the annual strategy planning process in collaboration with EAML leaders to identify strategic annual activities to elevate the maturity of the EAML Program globally. This includes prioritizing various strategic objectives, scoping resources required for execution and clearly articulating how desired outcomes for each planned annual activity tie back to EAML's long-term goals.

  • Program Management - Monitor the completion of major milestones across multiple strategic initiatives and reporting workflows. Develop and maintain dashboards to gauge progress on executing the strategic plan, KPI and key metrics.

  • Strategic Research - Proactively research what is happening in the industry, including trends in the regulatory environment and financial institutions to inform strategic objectives.

  • Executive Communications and Reporting - Collaborate in the creation of easy-to-understand presentations and written communications for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting forums to effectively engage and update executive senior leaders on progress against strategic initiatives.

  • Forecasting and Analysis - Uses historical and forward-looking data, statistical models, and market insights to predict or identify trends that may impact the team’s operations and make recommendations on adjustments required to meet strategic, regulatory and business needs.

Who you are

You have knowledge and experience in building projection models and have experience using business intelligence and analytics tools to drive insights and inform decisions. You have a high proficiency using Excel, MS Access, SQL or other data tools to perform data analysis.
