We’re looking for engaging Campus Security Guards to provide outstanding service to customers, employees, and clients, while assisting with traditional security challenges. Your protective nature and attention to details will play an important role in our success. Here, your work is appreciated as much as your individuality and you will be supported in all of your efforts.
What you'll be doing:
Ensuring security and safety of all property, clients, and employees
Welcome and acknowledge patrons according to the company standards
Provide access control for the property
Protect the property by performing patrols and report hazards and deficiencies
Ability to complete detailed incident reports
Effectively use security equipment, i.e. radios, cameras, printers, computers, and electronic lock systems
Operate as a member of the Emergency Response Team
Reporting occurrences of accidents, complaints, criminal activity, and crisis situations
Inputting of all actions in an electronic Shift Activity Log
Exposure to Fire, and Life & Safety systems
Available to work all shifts including holidays, weekends, nights, and evenings
Perform other duties as assigned
What you'll bring:
Prior work experience in a high paced customer service-oriented environment
A history of thriving in stressful situations
Valid provincial Security Guard Licence
Valid First Aid, CPR level C, AED certifications
Knowledge and application of Municipal, Provincial, and Federal statutes with attention to the Trespass to Property Act
WHMIS and other safety courses an asset
CCure and IndigoVision experience preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
To protect our people, brand and assets, a pre-employment background check will be conducted. As part of our selection process, all candidates must clear a criminal background check. Additionally, a credit check and drivers abstract may be required depending on the role.
