What you’ll be doing

Join our CIBC Technology team as a Business Systems Analyst, where you'll play a pivotal role in realizing our clients' aspirations through this Co-Op opportunity. This role offers a chance to be an integral part of our forward-thinking team dedicated to propelling CIBC's digital evolution. You'll take the lead on intricate projects, crafting strategic solutions aligned with CIBC's enterprise architecture roadmap. Collaborating with a diverse team, you'll pioneer innovative solutions aimed at delivering an unparalleled client experience. Your responsibilities include capturing and documenting complex business requirements, guiding solution design discussions, and ensuring alignment with project objectives. With a focus on fostering strong relationships and effective communication, you'll accurately document current and future states, encompassing workflow modeling, use case analysis, and data modeling. Additionally, you'll prepare and validate solution design documents, providing expertise throughout project implementation and supporting fellow team members in resolving challenges. This role also involves conducting feasibility studies, contributing to business cases, and estimating work effort for small to medium-sized projects. How you’ll succeed

  • Understanding Requirements - Work closely with Business Partners to guide formulation of complex business requirements and solution design discussions to meet project needs.

  • Relationship Building – establishing relationships with Business Partners, Colleagues and Managers to ensure strong partnerships and cooperative learning spaces.

  • Projects – be part of complex projects to design strategic solutions aligned to CIBC’s enterprise architecture roadmap
