KPMG Business Senior Manager, Global ITS in Toronto, Ontario

The Opportunity

The Business Management team, within the Business Operations domain of Global Technology and Knowledge supports GT&K efficient operation by performing a portfolio of essential services including Financial Management, Budgeting, Forecasting and Reporting, (collaborating with their respective Finance Business Partners), Procurement and Vendor Management, and Resource Management as well as other operational tasks that occur from time to time.

What you will do

  • Financial Management including overseeing and executing Budgeting, Forecasting and Financial Reporting processes, collaborating with Finance teams to ensure accurate financial management and control, preparing of the annual budget; monthly, quarterly and yearly preparation and delivery of reports; creating and maintaining financial templates and dashboards, amongst others.

  • Procurement and Supplier Management activities including reporting on all contractual and financial commitments, managing the procurement process, working with Supplier Management and Global Procurement to ensure all supplier contracts are processed in a timely manner etc.

  • Resource Management including monitoring the team’s capacity and team member role assignments, identifying and flagging potential risks of over/under capacity and ensuring up-to-date views of seconded employees, fixed-term contractors, and individual contractors within supplier contracts who can be identified based on requirement for KPMG account/system access; managing team-specific onboarding and exit of resources; supporting hiring of and coordination for permanent and fixed-term resources as primary liaison with workforce management team and HR/recruiting; setting performance goals and objectives for any Business Managers that work within your area of responsibility, assessing team performance and providing feedback and coaching to improve team performance, amongst others.

  • Support COO and Business Management Team Lead with other operational activities and initiatives to improve GT&Ks operational efficiency, transparency, and effectiveness, including identifying and reporting risks that could impact GT&Ks reputation, financial performance, service availability or project delivery; providing support to ensure compliance, regulatory and legal requirements are being adhered to; generating of ideas to improve GT&K business operations, amongst others.

What you bring to the role

  • More than 5 years post qualifying, relevant experience in the field and a total of 7 years of job experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience

  • Proficient in Excel with the ability to use functions and formula

  • Familiarity with SAP, Board and Coupa would be an advantage

  • Experience managing vendors and the contract lifecycle including statements of work, SLAs and managing to KPI

  • An ability to design and implement standard operating procedures and an interest in continuous improvement of business processes
