Canadian Tire Automation Analyst, Operations in Toronto, Ontario
What you’ll do
The Automation Analyst, Operations will build and analyze data from multiple data sets with the goal of identifying, developing, and supporting insightful recommendations focused on our field team program metrics and results. Activities such as designing, building, configuring, and testing custom-built applications. Reporting to the Manager of Best Practice, the Automation Analyst, Operations will create data insights into actionable visualizations.
This individual will leverage their automation and data analysis skill set to report field operation metrics and results. This individual will support the Field Operations team mandate to foster a collaborative relationship between the Corporation, internal teams, staked holders.
Build and share interactive reports and dashboards with customizable visualizations
Connect to a wide range of data sources Excel, SharePoint, Power Apps data
Integrate seamlessly with other Microsoft tools Excel, SharePoint, Power App data.
Monitor data in real time, enabling quick decision making and up-to-date insights
Design and create visually appealing and interactive reports and dashboards using PowerBI
Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reports and visualizations
Implement data security measures to ensure compliance with organization policies
Develop reporting dashboards & reports to translate data into actionable insights across field operation programs
Query, extract and transform raw data from multiple data warehouses to conduct key insight and in-depth analysis
Develop and improve key reporting tools using MS Access, MS Excel and VBA code.
Develop and maintain internal databases
Be responsible for and improving the management and handling of data and act as the Field Operations data steward
What you bring
5+ years of professional experience demonstrating advanced analytical abilities
University degree or College Diploma (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field an asset)
Hands-on experience in creating reports and dashboards in PowerBI with multiple data sources, both automated and manual
Experience in Automation Platforms such as Power Automate, Power Apps and Excel VBA as well as data preparation, analysis, and statistical tool sets including DAX, PowerBI, Python, Knime, Power Suites
Experience managing large data sets in Excel
Ability to program and use datasets in MS Access is an asset
Knowledge of SQL scripting language is an asset
Strong analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
Ability to create links in Data to build a story
Ability to identify root cause of issues, recommend solutions and proven ability to draw tangible conclusion from complex and varied data sets
Collaborate across teams to create synergies and support with analytical solutions and automation
Demonstrated organization skills, enabling efficient prioritization of work
Collaborate and communicate across teams to bridge the knowledge gap between data and analytics
Manage project timelines through effective communication and feedback loops
Create and manage a national field team database and tools providing instant reporting on metrics and results
