Purpose

The Analyst will provide support to the Global Compliance and AML Quality Assurance Review (QAR) team. This role will allow the Analyst to gain the necessary skills for their professional development and learn more about Compliance and AML processes.

The QAR function is responsible for independently assessing the consistent and accurate application of the Bank’s Regulatory Compliance Management frameworks, policies, guidelines, and operating procedures by Compliance Functions globally.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, QAR, the Analyst will be responsible for supporting and carrying out quality assurance review activities of our internal Compliance processes and programs globally.

Accountabilities

The incumbent will have exposure and the opportunity to learn about Compliance and AML quality assurance workstreams and processes across our team. Typical accountabilities would include:

  • Using a standardized set of checklists, document and execute a quality assurance review over the Compliance and AML programs.

  • Execute and document process and control walkthroughs and perform sample testing for assigned areas and/or engagements

  • Identify, manage, analyze, and interpret data to support the creation of meaningful and actionable insights to support the effectiveness of our regulatory risk program.

  • Assist in the preparation of presentation materials, and progress reports to stakeholders, including senior management.

  • Maintain effective communication with team members and compliance stakeholders throughout the QAR engagement planning, execution, and validation testing process

  • Develop creative problem-solving and analytical skills to drive decision-making & enhance business objectives.

  • Refine your communication and presentation skills with opportunities to present findings and recommendations to partners and senior management.

Education/Experience

  • Post secondary degree in Business or pursuing an education in a related field.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to change.

  • A growth mindset with the curiosity and capacity to learn quickly.

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly spreadsheets and presentation tools

  • Strong verbal/written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills are required to manage multiple initiatives and related things under tight deadlines.

  • High level of discretion required when dealing with confidential matters.

  • Good interpersonal relations

  • Flexibility

  • Fluency in Spanish would be seen as an asset.
