Canadian Tire Account Manager, Triangle Retail Media in Toronto, Ontario

TRM’s environment is very fast-paced, and requires someone who is highly entrepreneurial, analytical, and passionate about digital media and the future of targeted advertising! The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems, works effectively with cross-functional teams and thrives in a dynamic setting with limited oversight. The role requires subject matter expertise of media networks and digital advertising and will be highly visible with senior leadership of CTC. The ideal candidate possesses superior interpersonal skills, is comfortable with ambiguity, and has a talent for responding effectively to industry direction, customer needs and competitive positioning.

The Account Manager, Triangle Retail Media (TRM), will be responsible for maintaining client relationships, identifying opportunities to deliver incremental growth for them, designing campaigns that meet their objectives, and optimizing their return on ad spend. As a member of the TRM team, you will work alongside groups of industry experts in a highly agile, entrepreneurial, and exciting environment. You will make an impact by:

  • Owning a portfolio of existing clients and maintaining strong relationships with them, acting as the expert voice of the customer for the business

  • Understanding client priorities and pain points, sharing TRM’s unique value proposition with them, and determining how TRM can play a role in driving growth for their businesses

  • Ensuring ongoing improvement of campaign performance by providing data-driven insights and recommendations based on client goals

  • Pro-actively seeking out opportunities to bring new ideas to clients and to TRM by regularly analyzing data, assessing industry trends, adapting to ad product and technology developments, monitoring competitive actions, and keeping a strong pulse on client needs

  • Developing annual plans for media with clients and identifying opportunities to adapt and grow plans in year

  • Executing high performance campaigns including designing pitches, leading meetings with the right stakeholders, completing creative briefs, tracking in-flight campaign performance, and pivoting quickly in case of issues

  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Data, Insights, Product, and Merchants, to identify opportunities for revenue growth through the delivery of new processes and services

  • Delivering excellent client service to ensure optimal experience at all times, with both internal and external partners, and as a result, developing relationships to serve as a trusted consultant to create business outcomes

  • Developing processes to provide superior client support and escalate feedback to internal stakeholders

    What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, Finance, or related discipline

  • 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced, analytical, and client-facing role in media/ advertising

  • A working technical knowledge of digital marketing, media and/or publishing with an excitement to learn how to produce meaningful insights, counsel, and plan for our partners’ business objectives

  • Experience with brand and/or digital marketing performance campaigns

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience in facilitation and influencing at executive leadership levels through building relationships

  • Strong track record of executing successful collaborations across internal and external teams, with the purpose of achieving both client and internal business goals

  • Demonstrated critical thinking with an ability to tackle unique programs and projects with a positive and problem-solving mindset

  • Resourcefulness in maneuvering through a large company while working in a nimble and fast paced environment – ability to adapt and thrive in any business situation
