We’re looking for a digital media sales professional to join our advertising sales team who brings strong relationships with agencies and marketers and a proven track record of driving revenue growth. You are a strong collaborator building relationships both with the market and internally, to deliver solutions and outcomes for your clients. You know how to drive a business conversation with marketers, planners, and buyers to understand needs and requirements to deliver meaningful results.

As an Account Manager, Programmatic and Performance Sales, you will grow digital revenue through data driven solutions and insights leveraging high impact media solutions across The Globe and Mail and our exclusive Canadian representation of global publishers including CNN, The Guardian, Washington Post and Hearst publications, to name a few. You bring deep experience and understanding of programmatic and managed performance solutions to meet the full needs and buying opportunity for our clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and grow an established business portfolio, and develop new business to achieve digital revenue growth targets

  • Collaborate with Brand Partnership team members to deliver programmatic and performance strategies that drive direct demand and expand digital business across existing accounts.

  • Enhance the Globe Media Group's profile and influence among key digital decision-makers in both agency and direct client settings, with a focus on trade desks; both agency-based and in-house.

  • Independently drive new business opportunities and manage premium digital business initiatives.

  • Consistently meet or exceed individual and team revenue targets, as well as quarterly and annual sales KPIs.

  • Demonstrate commitment to excellence in sales disciplines, including pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM management.

  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to identify client needs and insights, informing solutions that deliver optimal business outcomes.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to create digital solutions and develop compelling proposals that exceed client expectations.

  • Work with Brand Partnership Managers, Data, Creative Studio, Product, Operations, Media Strategists and Revenue Management, to provide effective solutions for advertisers.

  • Leverage internal resources to manage client expectations and achieve performance goals.

  • Contribute to market insights and help shape the development of our product offerings to align with market needs and expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent college diploma with a minimum 5 years of professional experience in a related field (Advertising, Marketing, Media Sales)

  • Strong understanding and passion for programmatic business, data, performance marketing, and technology solutions.

  • Proven ability to stay informed about industry trends, including technology developments, privacy concerns, and regulatory impacts on digital advertising.

  • Hands-on sales experience with digital media platforms, campaign metrics, and optimization strategies.

  • Demonstrated success in managing a portfolio of agency and enterprise accounts.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across both internal and external organizations.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Fluency in both Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) interactions.

  • Proficiency in in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
