The Manager, DevOps Platform Engineering will lead a team of senior technical professionals responsible for the implementation and support of Moneris' DevOps Platform.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid model.
Reporting Relationship : You will report to Director, Cloud Infrastructure Architecture and Engineering.
Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
Lead and manage a team of system engineers responsible for design, implementation and support of DevOps Platform, including all necessary tooling, containerization and CI/CD capabilities
Collaborate with business, architecture, and development teams to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure technologies and solutions.
Provide technical guidance and support for escalated incidents and problems, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal business impact.
Develop and grow talent within the team, promoting a high-performing team culture and collaborative engineering environment.
Advocate and promote modern, Agile software development practices and core DevOps behaviors to driver change across development and infrastructure teams.
Your Moneris Career - What you bring
Proven managerial experience in leading platform engineering and support (DevOps/SRE) teams
5+ years of practical hands-on technical experience combined with strong management skills.
Comprehensive DevOps skills including proven hands-on experience with source, artifact, orchestration, configuration and secret management in collaboration with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Nexus, HasiCorp Vault)
Proficiency in coding/scripting using Python/Go/Rubby/Shell/PowerShell languages
Experience with cloud computing platforms (public and private) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, ArgoCD, Flux CD).
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and hands-on experience implementing Azure based solutions
Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in cross-functional teams.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
