The Manager, Cloud Engineering and Operations will lead a team of senior technical professionals responsible for the engineering and operations of Moneris’ Cloud infrastructure.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid model.
Reporting Relationship : You will report to Director, Cloud Infrastructure Architecture & Engineering.
Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
Lead and manage a team of system engineers responsible for daily operations and 24/7 support of Moneris’ Cloud infrastructure.
Collaborate with business, architecture, and development teams to design, implement, and maintain Cloud infrastructure technologies and solutions.
Provide technical guidance and support for escalated incidents and problems, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal business impact.
Grow and develop talent to help create high-performing teams and collaborative engineering culture in line with the company values.
Advocate and advance modern, Agile software development practices and core DevOps behaviors to driver change across development and infrastructure teams.
Your Moneris Career - What you bring
5+ of managerial experience in leading Cloud engineering, Cloud Operations or DevOps/SRE support teams
Experience implementing and using Infrastructure as Code (GitLab CI or GitHub Actions, K8S, Terraform, Ansible)
Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Azure and hands-on experience implementing Azure based solutions
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and make an impact in a cross-functional environment.
Bachelor’s degree in software development or computer engineering required, or equivalent work experience
Proficiency in payment systems and the merchant acquiring business is an asset.
