The Corporate Tax area is responsible for staying up-to-date with tax law changes and their impact on UMB. They produce quality workpapers, supporting memos and documentation for tax returns and positions.

The Corporate Trust Tax Information Reporting Analyst is responsible for working with the Corporate Trust Tax Information Manager or other leaders to ensure compliance of U.S. tax information reporting/withholding and FATCA compliance program for Corporate Trust. Key job responsibilities include Assist with account setup and tax reporting within source system; Review system documentation to ensure accurate set up on tax reporting and withholding system; Preparation of reconciliation of Backup/NRA/FATCA withholding tax; Research and respond to inquiries from the admins surrounding information reporting and the OneSource 1099 software application; Monitor tax reporting timeline and admins 1099/1042-S approvals; Preparation of training materials and various internal procedures; Set up new users in source system and assist with password resets and system related issues.

How you’ll spend your time:

  • You will utilize your customer service skills to assist with account setup and tax reporting within source system in order to meet client expectations

  • You will use attention to detail to research and respond to inquiries from the admins surrounding information reporting and the OneSource 1099 software application

  • You will utilize your time management skills to ensure the workflow is moving smoothly and assisting the team when necessary to achieve customer satisfaction

We’re excited to talk with you if:

  • You possess a Bachelor’s degree

  • You possess two (2) years of relevant experience (i.e. 1099/1042-S, W-9, W-8)

  • You have knowledge of IRS regulations and information reporting responsibilities of financial institutions
