Position summary

We are looking for a someone who can provide exceptional customer experience to a broad range of clients and ensure the fast and effective management of client workflows to join the S&P Cappitech Support and Operations team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in communicating with clients, answering regulatory queries, and resolving daily reporting issues. Ideally the candidate will have some experience in EMIR, MiFID, ASIC, CFTC, SEC, JFSA, MAS and\or SFTR reporting. The role is client facing and requires a high degree of technical competence.

Duties and accountabilities

  • Dealing with customer enquiries and requests and managing them efficiently and in a timely manner until resolution

  • Helping clients understand how the solution works and how to resolve reporting issues

  • Involvement in client training and site visits

  • Assist in validation or UAT for issue resolution.

  • Working on Client specific projects

  • Collaborating with product, application support and development teams to identify and rectify bugs and issues, and testing implemented fixes.

  • Timely escalation of issues and ensuring proper follow-up until resolution.

  • Managing Production Incidents and collaborate with internal teams such as Product, Technology, CAM to understand the actual root cause and lead remediation to ensure clients data is correctly reported.

  • Conducting Root Cause Analysis to identify the source of data inconsistencies.

  • Troubleshooting client inquiries and issues by reviewing data in various formats such as Excel files, JSON, XML, FPML messages, and comparing them against mapping sheets, technical specifications, and business requirements to resolve issues or identify system bugs.

  • Manage and reduce client escalations with Support and other business areas, leading to prompt and satisfactory resolution.

  • Deliver strong and concise messages to clients, protecting S&P, its clients, and reputational aspects of our services.

Education and Experience

  • A highly motivated, disciplined, confident team player who is delivery focused and committed to high quality output

  • Possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, technology, or a related field.

  • Preferably, completion of any financial course such as FRM or CFA.

  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and understanding of an API at an intermediate level.

  • Demonstrated experience of 4 to 7 years in financial markets or fintech.

  • Understanding of the trade lifecycle across major financial asset classes including securities finance, exchange-traded, and OTC derivatives.

  • Familiarity with financial markets and Regulatory Reporting Regimes (SFTR/MiFID/EMIR/ASIC/MAS/CFTC).

  • Ability to comprehend technical concepts.

  • Competence in querying and extracting data from databases

  • Knowledge of other vendor systems like ANNA, Reuters etc. is advantageous.
