CVS Health Sr Advisor Pharmacy Operations System Strategy Portfolio Analytics in Texas

Job Description

This is an advanced level portfolio management analytics position. This position:- Coordinates the ongoing development of the data analytics and visualization, process management technologies, and workflows utilized by System Strategy in support of the portfolio management functions for all business units it supports. Supports the communication strategy and provides the key executive guidance used for prioritization of a complex portfolio of initiatives in support of new or changing business objectives. This includes executive dashboards and reporting, and recommending key performance indicators based on subject matter expertise.- Collaborates with Pharmacy Operations leadership to implement a continuous cycle of improvement efforts. Tracks and analyzes outcomes. Identifies patterns and areas for improvement; models and builds forecasts.- Supports the technology tools and data collection necessary for problem analysis, solution validation, risk management, issue resolution/escalation, financial and change control management, organizational change management, communication, and stakeholder engagement processes for System Strategy.- Supports strategic roadmap coordination and planning: provides subject matter expertise for business processes that drive discovery, ideation, and analysis of potential initiatives.- Leading through others: indirect leadership of resources within stakeholder organizations required by the portfolio management business process, ex.: Customer Care, Mail and Specialty Ops, Clinical Ops, Benefits, Disease Mgmt, IT, Product Development, Finance, HR, Procurement, and other corporate organizations, as well as external vendor partners as needed.- Is not responsible for direct employees but has extensive informal leadership responsibilities, including potential external vendor relationships.- Will be responsible for interfacing and communicating directly with Senior and Executive leadership from all different areas of the company.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong financial understanding especially for calculating and/or validating value/savings, building business cases and business models for value- Proven ability to use effective judgment in prioritization and time allocation- Experience in a position required to do problem solving, problem analysis and creative solutions with emphasis in managing complex efforts- Formal experience in utilizing/developing project or software development delivery methodology with supporting management practices like risk mgmt, change mgmt, scope mgmt, time mgmt and quality mgmt.- Strong results orientation with demonstrated achievement of objectives, with integrity- Can maintain relationships across the enterprise and demonstrate strong and effective indirect/informal leadership- Demonstrated ability to identify, discern and understand the needs of the customer- Demonstrated ability to continuously align strategy and priorities to changing business needs; conveys strong sense of urgency to drive issues to closure- Demonstrated skill and proficiency using data visualization, business intelligence tools, and project management tools such as, but not limited to, Tableau, PowerBI, JasperSoft, and Clarity.-Demonstrated skill and proficiency building business processes and workflows, and employing continuous improvement and strategic planning methodologies such as, but not limited to, LEAN, Six Sigma, Agile, and HoshinRequires conceptual thinking in complex and/or completely new situations. Routinely impacts quality, timeliness of results, planning and revenues or budget; frequently sets policies and procedure. Negotiates internally and externally at high levels or with persons of influence frequently. Routinely defines solutions that align to our overall goals as well as solve industry needs. Ability to coordinate with various senior leaders across organizational/divisional boundaries.


This position requires a bachelor’s Degree in computer science, data analytics or STEM degree
