Position Purpose:

Under direct supervision, receives funds from customers and records monetary transactions. Counts money to verify amounts. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Records payments received into the lockbox

  • Deposits payments received at the location by sending checks to the lockbox

  • Records batches and applies to invoices

  • Research and resolve over and short payments

  • Contacts vendors to resolve problems relating to payments

  • Research and resolves unapplied cash

  • Monitors unapplied cash and take measures to minimize

  • Makes sure that cash transactions are properly recorded
