Pfizer Pfizer Learning Academy (PLA) Platform/Community Manager in Tampa, Florida

Pfizer Learning Academy (PLA) is responsible for the development and delivery of learning for therapeutic area knowledge, role-based skills, and colleague performance and leadership development. The organization is part of Pfizer Digital and leverages advanced analytics and an enhanced digital ecosystem to transform the learner experience across the enterprise. Within this organization, a new team has been formed called the Learning Trends & Strategy Team. This team is responsible for architecting the Pfizer Enterprise Learning Strategy and insuring we are maximizing our learning ecosystem to deliver on that strategy.

This Platform/Community Manager role is primarily a communication role and will be responsible for the ongoing enterprise engagement with learning (via PLA provided platforms)

With Learners:

  • Develop/execute enterprise communication plan to support/increase and sustain focus on learning; and drive awareness, engagement and sustained active use of the PLA platform

  • Build and implement communication plan that articulates the "What's In It For Me" of Learning language and the value and impact of the PLA platform (for colleagues, people leaders, leaders of leaders, teams, functions, divisions, and the enterprise)

Communicate with Pfizer Learning & Development Professional community to:

  • Share best practices and metrics

  • Solicit feedback

  • Create community across enterprise

  • Support the transformation to a learner-led culture and support building the skill of learning across Pfizer

  • Analyze PLA platform engagement across enterprise to recommend improvements to PLA platform and cross functional approaches

  • Seek/solicit feedback to support the Curators efforts to identify and onboard meaningful content

  • Monitor and respond to incoming inquiries to the Pfizer Learning Community Mailbox

Basic Qualifications

  • Degree qualification: BA/BS required

  • 5+ years Internal PR experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across channels

  • English fluency required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated communications skills

  • Facility with range of communication channels

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with internal and external Communication professionals

  • Understanding of Pfizer's Purpose, Bold Moves and enterprise-wide strategic imperatives

  • Requires comprehensive knowledge of own discipline and good understanding of Learning to be able to make recommendations for actions and improvements

  • Takes appropriate risks to drive the enterprise learning behaviors

  • Creatively approaches communication challenges using all communication channels available

  • Exercises own judgment leveraging knowledge and experience.

  • Works independently with instruction on complex problem

  • Proven track record of leading complex project with delivery of large scale, solutions at an enterprise level

  • Ability to synthesize and make data-based recommendations related to communication channels, messaging, and frequency.

  • Experience driving change across a large organization at the global and local levels


  • Minimal travel may be required no more than 3x/year.
