Pfizer Director, Digital Communications (Oncology) in Tampa, Florida

Role Summary:

The Director, Oncology Digital Communicationswill plan and deliver an end-to-end digital channel content strategy across Pfizer Oncology to optimize the engagement and reach of content directed at target audiences. This person in this role will lead external positioning strategy and execution for Oncology on digital channels including Pfizer.com and our above brand social media channels, in collaborationwith Pfizer's cross-functional Oncology team.This position is also responsible for capturing Pfizer's overall progress on its oncology platform.

The position reports to the Senior Director, Digital Communications, Corporate Affairs and is based at the Company headquarters in New York City. or in one of our regional U.S. offices.

Role Responsibilities:

The Director, Oncology Digital Communications will build and execute digital communications plans for key product launches, important pipeline milestones, reputation initiatives, and brand public relations campaigns.

Specifically, the role will:

  • Lead the development and execution of the strategic digital communication plans in close coordination with Pfizer's cross-functional Oncology team.

  • Support the development of digital content, including articles, announcements, audio and video.

  • Work cross-functionally on unbranded disease awareness campaigns for patient audiences, including social/digital and influencer campaigns.

  • Act as primary contact with external agencies as it relates to digital communications across Oncology.

  • Partner with public affairs, media relations, IR, commercial, and reputation comms colleagues as needed.

  • Evaluate KPIs and leverage benchmarks to drive performance indicators, determine platform purpose, evolution, and content creation

Qualifications:

Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience

  • 7+ years of experience in digital communications/social media content creation, corporate communications, digital marketing or public relations agency working in digital/social.

  • Experience in Oncology communications or marketing.

  • Knowledge of and expertise in current and emerging social media and digital communications and trends.

  • Experience in creating compelling and impactful digital content.

  • Excellent presentation skills and persuasiveness are mandatory.

  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate success in a fast-paced, high-exposure and highly collaborative environment.

  • Discipline in time management and precision in the execution of duties - from content creation to delivery - are especially important, given the largely deadline driven, highly visible nature of the work.

  • Day-to-day direction, by the nature of the business, must be self-initiated.

Nice to Have:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a significant volume of projects in a matrixed environment, while exhibiting the ability to prioritize, provide oversight and demonstrate excellent judgmental skills.

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare space, specifically around Oncology

  • Create and oversee creation of compelling content for a lay audience.

  • Excellent and demonstrated interpersonal skills: ability to understand and respond to multiple external and internal customers' demands, manage and handle conflict constructively required.

  • Familiarity with internal/external SOPs/Rules/Regulations regarding Pfizer/customer interactions and relationships, etc.

  • Familiarity and comfort with social media rules of engagement, including Pfizer policies governing digital communication and interaction, and experience using social channels to communicate

  • Demonstrated ability to work within a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team to foster strong Pfizer/customer professional relationships and which support Pfizer business objectives.

ADDITONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to synthesize and simplify complex business, scientific, medical and technical information for clear communications.

  • Familiarity with healthcare and biopharmaceuticals industries.

  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and follow through.

  • Ability to thrive in a complex, highly matrixed global corporate environment.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149,200.00 to $248,600.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.   • The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $134,300.00 to $223,800.00.
