POSITION SUMMARY

The Digital Principal iOS Engineer II, reporting to the Executive Director, Flagship Mobile Apps, will work on the team that brings CVS customers their “Super app” – the customer-facing Flagship CVS Health and Pharmacy apps. As a Digital Principal iOS Engineer II, you will be directly developing and landing ambient digital Pharmacy Initiatives. You will compile research and technologies across the organization into one cohesive technical roadmap. You will be heavily involved in contributing to Superapp features along with APIs integrations. You will have an opportunity to provide strategic leadership for the software development of our application products that leverage advance technologies. You will be mentoring/guiding other team members. You will drive development decisions and architecture design decisions. In this role, you will demonstrate executive level qualities, lead the conversation, have an eye for great design along with strong hands-on coding experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical vision, drive strategy around solutions, solve complex problems, and successfully execute across the apps and more

  • Act as an executive technical leader across strategic efforts, leveraging partners, technical leads, and technical expertise to better inform processes and outcomes

  • Act as a technical owner across strategic efforts involving the new modern technology like AI, ML based features and more

  • Partner with technical leaders within CVS and the open-source community and contribute to product strategy, frameworks, roadmap definition, and requirements-gathering

  • Provide domain knowledge and engineering insight to guide early designs, accelerate project decision-making, and maintain close oversight of technical execution

  • Encourage and maintain engineering excellence on the team to build reliable distributed systems that our customers can build their business on

  • Become a trusted decision-maker for important projects with high technical or outcome risk

  • Plot and execute on the path from prototype to production for features

  • Bring passion, energy and excitement to the team and organization

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with multiple priorities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in mobile application development. Significant experience building customer facing applications on the Apple Play store

  • 7+ years of experience in iOS app development, building reusable frameworks using Swift/SwiftUI, Objective C, C++

  • 5+ years of experience with DevOps tools such as CircleCi, GIT, Sonar, Jenkins

  • 2+ years of experience worked on CICD Pipeline automation

  • 2+ years of experience with a11y, Telemetry & Observability

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in the health and wellness domain

  • Ability to influence and inspire teams to align technical direction

  • Ability to create and execute on roadmaps that consider both progress and innovation as well as the need to scale reliably

  • Contribution to open-source technology and Developed patents

  • Ability to learn/work with emerging technologies, methodologies

  • Expertise in iOS app development tools, frameworks and Reactive Programming and building Design Systems libraries

  • Experience with third party frameworks, tools, and SDKs

  • Experience with authenticated session using OAuth and authenticated tokens

  • Experience with build systems on highly modularized apps (SPM, Cocoapods, custom plugins)

  • Static and dynamic analyzers (Swift lint, Custom Rules)

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$144,200.00 - $288,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
