Corporate Sourcing and Procurement (CSP) team partners with business areas, as trusted advisors and business facilitators, to provide leading sourcing strategies and expertise, to manage vendor risk and optimize third party spend.
CSP is at the forefront of major company initiatives with primary responsibility for negotiations, risk assessment, contracting and ongoing vendor management of the organization’s third-party vendor contracts. Using contemporary technology platforms, the CSP team partners with business area vendor managers in a manner that manages risk while providing the best value for the negotiated price. The CSP team, focuses on mindset, approach, and tools to drive increased value through effective risk management, spend optimization and speed to market.
The CSP Sourcing Manager is an experienced professional with proven ability to add value through collaboration, data insights, negotiation strategy, enterprise view, with an approach that works effectively toward outcomes through effective collaboration with business area owners, stakeholders, and 3 rd party vendors. The Sourcing Manager role executes and delivers from assigned initiatives through an optimized base of strategic vendors and has a deep understanding of the value drivers in the source-to-pay process. We are looking for a leader comfortable working in a lean organization, flexible in managing competing priorities and focused on value-based outcomes.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Lead assigned third-party spend initiatives with a focus on spend optimization through quick-wins and sustained value, by leveraging strong working relationships with business area owners, subject matter experts, and other key stakeholders.
Create value to the business through data driven insights and analysis of third-party spend and critical vendor relationships. Use results to inform business area portfolio transparency and priorities to optimize third-party spend.
Maintain effective working relationships and represent CSP with executive leaders in all areas of the company.
Implement and drive project management discipline to plan, execute and communicate project approach, priorities, status, and risk assessment to provide effective and timely project execution.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the broader CSP team
Ensure proper execution of assigned projects, monitoring services provided, updating stakeholders and project management tools.
Assist with other source-to-pay critical initiatives as assigned, leveraging working knowledge of business process, risk, analysis, and controls. Matters are driven by business priorities and may relate all areas of CSP including sourcing, vendor risk assessments, procurement operations, and/or accounts payable process or technology.
Management Responsibility: Will lead and guide, assigned initiatives and projects, and work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders.
The base salary range for this position is $85,000-$125,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
5 years of strategic sourcing and procurement experience
Outstanding negotiation abilities
Critical thinker with ability to analyze problems and data to drive timely results
Experience leading Sourcing competitive RFx events, obtaining quotes from different suppliers, and negotiating the best price and contractual terms
Proven ability to lead projects and influence others with a focus on business value and outcomes
Demonstrated success in using data analysis to inform decision making and sourcing strategy
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of business risk, vendor risk and overall controls mindset
Demonstrated understanding of business operational processes, preferably source-to-pay processes
Effectively facilitates meetings and communicates results to peers and executive management, rolling up messaging to bring along stakeholders and drive to specified outcomes
Established meeting management and presentations skills and comfortable presenting ideas and influencing others at all levels of the organization
Curious about learning new ways to optimize third-party spend, investigating contracts and other related data to help identify opportunities for optimizing spend.
Able to balance technical acumen, problem-solving abilities, and interpersonal skills
Develops and maintains effective working relationships within the team and across business areas
Demonstrated success as a leader in a large financial services organization

RFP (Request for Proposal): Knowledge of RFP (request for proposal); ability to understand and utilize processes, tools and techniques for responding to a customer RFP and creating viable proposals for work to be done.
Strategic Sourcing: Knowledge of strategic sourcing methods, technologies and processes; ability to analyze, improve and re-evaluate organizational procurement process continuously.
Vendor Management: Knowledge of vendor management methodologies, technologies and processes; ability to gain increased value and excellent services from vendors, as well as costs control and risk mitigation throughout the deal life cycle.
