Job Purpose

We are the MA Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Field Deployment Group at National Grid. The senior analyst position is a critical role and a great opportunity to join an exciting program. We are at the heart of modernizing meter technology to enable our clean energy future and reimagine how customer’s will manage energy in the future.

The team is responsible for deploying 1.4 million smart meters to National Grid's Massachusetts customers. We are committed to exceed expectations of our colleagues, customers, shareholders, and communities today and make possible the energy systems of tomorrow.

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Run and analyze large customer and equipment data queries to direct AMI installation resources and customer engagement to assure a successful transformation of assets.

  • Manage large scale data queries to coordinate field force and communication strategy for prospective installations within deployment forecast timeframes.

  • Trouble shoot process concerns and take ownership of corrective actions when they arise.

  • Direct, create, and maintain a repository of deployment planning project task to be issued for key stakeholders.

  • Develop positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve information and collaboration.

  • Continuously provide input into the L5 work processes, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the work.

  • Additional duties of the Meter Deployment Lead, as assigned

  • Flexibility to work remotely and with a team across National Grid

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred or 3-4 years of data analytics work

  • MapInfo and/or Alteryx software experience a plus

  • Experienced in Power BI and/or Microsoft Excel

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint)

  • Knowledge and experience in CSS data manipulation (preferred)

  • Ability to build and maintain leadership presentations

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Effective relationship management skills

  • Strong verbal, written and communication skills

  • Ability to be flexible and agile to changing conditions

  • Ability to work in virtual teams

Salary

MA: $106,000 - $125,000 a year

Downstate NY: $114,000 - $134,000 a year

Upstate NY: $94,000 - $111,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
