Corporate Sourcing and Procurement (CSP) team partners with business areas, as trusted advisors and business facilitators, to provide leading sourcing strategies and expertise, to manage vendor risk and optimize third party spend.
CSP is at the forefront of major company initiatives with primary responsibility for negotiations, risk assessment, contracting and ongoing vendor management of the organization’s third-party vendor contracts. Using contemporary technology platforms, the CSP team partners with business area vendor managers in a manner that manages risk while providing the best value for the negotiated price. Our operating model focuses on mindset, approach, and tools to drive increased value through effective risk management, spend optimization and speed to market.
The CSP Data Specialist is a key contributor to the team and is instrumental in creating and executing the data strategy that provides consumable, reliable, and analytical data-driven capabilities to the department, along with other assigned daily operational activities.
Responsibilities:
Thoroughly assess and understand the department’s specific data needs and then design dashboards, reports, and data systems to meet those needs
Become an expert in the department’s data landscape and leverage that expertise to effectively design – and help build – solutions for the team
Construct actionable insights from vendor data to inform Sourcing strategy, support potential process changes, and promote efficiency
Respond to ad hoc data related inquiries by knowing where to look, what data to pull, and performing thorough review for accuracy before sharing results with end users
Document data sources, methodologies, and processes to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and knowledge sharing.
Train and support end-users on data tools, reports, and dashboards to enhance data literacy and self-service capabilities
Collect and analyze data about CSP’s tools/technology usage to improve efficiency over time
Gather competitive vendor intelligence in the external market to support Sourcing as needed
Support CSP communications and training strategy as needed
The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
5 years of experience in data or business analysis
Demonstrated success in using data analysis to inform decision-making and strategy
Experience working with Microsoft Excel tables, pivot tables, and vlookups
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Able to collect, analyze, and interpret relevant data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights
Able to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data by implementing data validation and quality control measures
Critical thinker with ability to analyze problems and data to drive timely results
Develops and maintains effective working relationships across business area
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and quality
Strategic thinker with the ability to zoom out of the details and connect the dots to consider broader implications
Design Thinking skills; a customer-focused problem solver that seeks stakeholder feedback
Comfortable working with Azure Dev Ops and Agile methodologies a plus
