National Grids Graduate Development Program (GDP) (https://careers.nationalgridus.com/graduate-development-program) is an in-depth training and development program for high achieving recent college graduates who aspire to take on future leadership roles in a dynamic, ever-changing industry. Graduates start their careers at National Grid with an in-depth 4-week in-person Orientation which gives you exposure to all parts of the company, allows you to network with your Graduate cohort, GDP alumni, and senior leaders, and provides you with the opportunity to travel throughout our service territory in the northeast US. Following Orientation, Graduates begin working in their hired position and take part ongoing development activities through your first year including monthly development sessions, active mentorship, and a Capstone Project at the completion of your first year with National Grid.
About the Position
As the Associate Analyst, Project Delivery Support, you will support the team with providing formal reporting back to the business, which will monitor the achievement of business outcomes. You will also be responsible for assisting in gathering information on all electric contracted construction work, such as material requisitions and tracking, and working with contractors to maintain the schedule and project closeout. You will see complex projects for the NY electric business from the mid-point through construction, getting exposure to many aspects of the projects!
What You'll Do
Support the six pillars of the Project Delivery Support team: compliance and assurance, process improvement, safety excellence, strategic performance, contract management, and contract resource coordination
Produce routine reporting and a volumetric view of all works within the business area (including detail on completed and outstanding drivers to enable accurate tracking of the progress of outcome delivery)
Contribute to the reporting of regulatory data and information internally and externally, making sure to align with wider business reporting
Assist data quality coordination through continuous improvement of data processes
Build, develop, and maintain crucial internal relationships with Design, Program Management, Distribution Construction, Operations Divisions, Distribution Support, and Procurement to ensure smooth completion of assigned projects
Work with the contractors to ensure National Grid Construction Supervisors are aware of contractor schedule, work locations, and changes and notify the contractors of changing priorities, work with the contractor to re-prioritize the work to ensure key dates are met
Support weather related incidents, including managing contract crew transfer sheets, and storm room support as required
Work with other departments to align processes and drive best practice sharing through promoting areas of learning across Project Management & Construction.
What You'll Need
Bachelor or Masters degree from an accredited institution
Graduated between May 2022 and June 2023
Ability to begin the National Grid Graduate Program May 30, 2023 or June 26, 2023
Valid US drivers license
Applicants for the Graduate Development Program must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (such as sponsorship for an H-1B, TN, O, L, STEM OPT, or other employment-based work authorization)

$53,000 - $68,000 a year
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
