Are you an experienced, passionate, and highly motivated professional desiring a position reviewing and resolving customer inquiries and complaints? If so, Equitable’s Law Department has an exciting opportunity within the Customer Relations Office of our Compliance team! The Customer Relations Compliance Professional role will join a dedicated team of compliance professionals and be responsible for reviewing and responding to inquiries and complaints from customers as well as state and federal regulators. Our ideal candidate will be hardworking detail orientated with an eye toward providing customer centric responses.

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Review and respond to sales complaints related to the company’s individual and group retirement, life, employee benefits business areas as well as brokerage and investment advisory accounts.

  • Input complaint information in Company’s centrally managed complaint tracking system.

  • Partner and coordinate, as necessary, with impacted business areas to review and respond to complaints.

  • Communicate/negotiate resolutions with customers, attorneys or other professionals, regulators, financial professionals, and professional liability (E&O) carriers orally and in writing as needed.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual complaint related reports as well as other ad hoc reports, as needed, for internal review and analysis, as well as Regulatory report/exam requests.

  • Assist on special projects, as needed.

The base salary range for this position is $54,000 - $65,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 years of experience with customer relations service, sales, or compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Series 6 or 7

  • Knowledge of the comprehensive suite of Life, Annuity and Brokerage products

  • Working knowledge of insurance, FINRA and/or SEC rules and of State regulations

  • Investigative, analytical and negotiation skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet internal and external deadlines.

  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
