The Client Care Specialist position is responsible for conserving EQUI-VEST annuity contract holders through educating customers on the value and benefits of their EQUI-VEST contract along with the downside of surrenders. The Client Care Specialist will discuss reasons for staying with Equitable and build strategies to consider before moving to a new target product or firm. The Client Care Specialist will also work with the assigned Equitable financial professional on the conservation opportunity.

Additional information on the position:

  • Will have annual conservation goals, prorated at time of hire

  • Primarily handle inbound client calls looking to transfer their contract to a third-party provider

  • Expected to answer up to 30 calls per day and make outbound calls

  • Expected to used de-escalation techniques when speaking with displeased clients and/or external advisors

  • Department hours are 8:30 AM ET – 5:00 PM ET. Overtime may be required to complete calls in queue post-5:00 PM ET

  • This position is highly customer centric; evidence of telephonic sales, face-to-face sales, and/or customer service experience is highly desirable

  • Experience with selling/servicing variable annuities

  • Currently this position is fully remote with an expectation to return to the office located in Syracuse, NY.

  • This individual is required to hold FINRA securities licensing (SIE, 6 and 63 or 7 and 65) and New York State Accident & Health Life Variable Life/Variable Annuities license and multi-state licenses.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree or commenserate industry experience

  • FINRA Series 6 and 63 OR 7 and 65 licenses

  • New York State Life license

  • 2 years customer service and/or sales experience working with annuity products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Securities/Compliance knowledge

  • Industry product knowledge

  • Established written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated organizational skills with ability to multi-task and quickly pivot between assignments and tasks

  • Sales and/or telephonic sales support experience
