Job Summary

This role analyzes, develops, implements, and evaluates performance-based technical training programs related to Mechanical Maintenance. Maintains technical subject matter expertise and a thorough understanding of current business processes. Acts as subject matter expert in specific area of technical (operational) expertise. Consults with business partners to clarify and define work procedures and processes and develop and document new work procedures and processes. Keeps abreast of current regulatory initiatives and assess their impact on instructor training.

This position will be required to fulfill a role on the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and provide outage support.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3 and above, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined are strongly encouraged to apply.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Requirements for Senior Instructor (Nuclear)

•12 + years of related experience OR;

•Certified Instructor (including 5+ years of experience) OR;

•RO or SRO (including 5+ years of experience) OR;

•Sr Instructor Training Cert from Dominion (including 5+ years of experience)

Requirements for Senior Instructor

5-6 years of nuclear, industrial or military experience with full competency in skills related to Mechanical Maintenance

Requirements for both:

•In depth knowledge of instructional theory and design and SAT.

•Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, good personal computer, operate various instrumentation and controls, problem solving.

•Abilities: Analyze and develop training materials, train and lead others, interface with regulatory personnel and industry peers, informal leadership skills, ability to effectively communicate with regulators.

Education Requirements

High School diploma or GED is required. Bachelor Degree in a technical field (Mechanical) preferred. An equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education.

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

  • Graduate of related Dominion Electrical Development Program preferred

  • ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014, Section 4.5.4

  • High school diploma and special education and experience consistent with the materials being presented

  • Instructors shall have experience consistent with the materials being presented

  • The instructor shall have demonstrated knowledge of instructional techniques and be certified by the Training Manager as a qualified instructor for the materials being presented
