We have ongoing projects across Europe, Australia, and New Zealand with potential to expand into other regions, due to this success and ongoing growth we are expanding and investing in our Sunderland facility. With backing from our parent company Ingersoll Rand, we are upgrading our site and investing in infrastructure to support our future goals and needs.

Job Summary

We require a testing supervisor to join us and help lead our state-of-the-art hydrogen test site, one of the largest in Europe, at our Sunderland facility.

Responsibilities

  • A Test Supervisor is at the heart of our operations, ensuring not only the efficient running of the testing programs, but also the balance of our multi-disciplined workforce.

  • Responsible for the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of our hydrogen refuelling stations leading a multidiscipline team of PLC engineer and mechanical technician.

  • You will have responsibility for achieving our production targets and meeting our project schedules, developing, and implementing continuous improvement.

  • Managing a team you will have responsibility for leading and motivating them to achieve project milestone targets in a deadline driven environment.

  • Responsible for working with the EHS Coordinator to develop, maintain and adhere to strict risk assessments whilst all pressure testing is conducted.

  • Managing third party contractors on the test site.

  • Providing progress reports to the Engineering director for project tracking and COPQ reporting to help achieve business KPI’s

  • Standardisation of continuous improvement in all areas.

Basic Qualifications

  • Ideally qualified to Degree or HND level in either a mechanical or an electrical discipline.

  • Proven history of people management experience gained within a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to work under pressure within a high-performance, fast-moving environment

  • Relevant experience in a supervisory role.

  • Experience working in a project styled business

  • Operating within exacting time, quality, and cost constraints.

  • Lean Manufacturing principles/Kaizen practices/Just in time exposure.

  • Experience in leading a multidiscipline team.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Majority site based here at Sunderland, occasional travel to support site commissioning team may be required.
