National Grid Substation Senior Project Manager - Midlands in Stourport On Severn, United Kingdom

As the Senior Project Manager you will be entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing a team (Project Managers and Project Supervisors) that delivers single asset replacements into electricity transmission substations. This work varies from short-duration projects to large-scale replacements. Your portfolio of projects will cover various construction-based projects such as, transformer Installations, shunt reactor Installations, cable replacements, protection and control replacements and cyber security installations covering sites across the west and east midlands.

Your role as a Senior Project Manager is pivotal in ensuring that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory targets and budgets. The work is executed by both National Grid operational staff and contractors, you’ll closely with the operational teams to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest standards and on schedule.

What are the requirements?

A minimum HNC qualification or equivalent preferably in an engineering discipline. Excellent Project Management skills including management of risk for delivery of projects to scope, time, cost, quality, safety and security of supply. Proficient understanding and experience of Safety and Environmental legislation practices and policies. Working knowledge of CDM Regulations and Contract Management. Strong communication skills, A current full Driving Licence which allows you to drive in the UK is essential. Desirable – Project Management qualification, IOSH, NEBOSH.

Pay and Benefits

• A salary between £56,000 and £75,000 pa + Excellent Benefits Package + Company Car + Training and Development + 15% Bonus opportunity
