Citizens VP/Director - Asset Backed Securitization in Stamford, Connecticut

Description

Citizens Bank is seeking a Vice President or Director level candidate to join the Asset-Backed Securitization (ABS) business line within the Asset Backed Finance (ABF) group. The ABF group is part of Citizens’ Capital Markets division. The Director/VP will work with ABS team members in support of non-mortgage securitization origination, with a focus on execution of asset-backed securitization loan facilities. A background in Digital Infrastructure securitization transactions is preferred. The Director/VP will report to the Head of ABF and the role will be based in Stamford, CT.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with the ABS group’s senior professionals to assist in originating and leading the execution of non-mortgage asset-backed securitization loan (“ABSL”) transactions across a variety of consumer and commercial asset classes. Digital infrastructure asset class experience a plus.

  • Prepare and present concise credit underwriting memos for ABSL transactions, including organizing client and asset class diligence, coordinate legal doc review with counsel, organize cash flow modelling and rating analysis, and organize communication with internal approval constituents.

  • Review and comment on legal documents for ABSL transactions backed by various traditional and new asset classes

  • Perform research and analysis on Term ABS transactions and assist with execution of underwriting roles on Term ABS deals. Digital infrastructure asset class experience a plus.

  • Contribute to the development of pitch materials and structuring / execution advice to clients for Term ABS and ABSL transactions

  • Manage process required for execution of material ABSL transaction amendments and participate in ABSL portfolio reviews and credit meetings.

  • Present internal business and credit partners a summary of client’s business, the transaction structure, key risks and cash flow stress scenarios

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with credit and portfolio management partners as well as related sector focused investment banking colleagues.

  • Establish relationship and work with external parties including clients, lawyers, and rating agencies

  • Mentor and develop associates and analysts

    Experience

  • 6+ years of asset-backed securitization lending and Term ABS experience at a commercial or investment bank

  • Advanced analytical, securitization loan structuring, underwriting, credit, and presentation skills

  • Experience reviewing and summarizing deal documentation

  • Experience coordinating communication with lawyers, clients and other external parties to structure and execute transactions

  • Familiarity with securitization legal documents for revolving ABSL facilities backed by traditional and esoteric assets classes

  • Knowledge of the Term ABS market and transactions backed by traditional and esoteric assets. Familiarity with Digital Infrastructure Term ABS a plus

  • Strong PC Proficiency, Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Bloomberg and Credit Research Tools

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and satisfy deadlines

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills required

    Education/ Licenses

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics

  • FINRA Licensing (Series 79 and/or 7 and 63) preferred

Hours and Work Schedule

Hours per Week: 40+

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
