Job Summary

The Minnesota Department of Human Services is seeking a Rehabilitation Supervisor to join the Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) at our St. Peter campus. As the Rehabilitation Supervisor you will provide supervision to professional level staff and assistants in the development, direction, evaluation, and implementation of rehabilitation programming for MSOP clients.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Provide oversight of and management to the Rehabilitation Therapy Services staff
  • Ensure the delivery of comprehensive treatment services
  • Evaluate and develop training standards for therapy staff

The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) provides comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and management of civilly committed sexual offenders. MSOP is a residential treatment facility for clients who have been court-ordered to receive ongoing treatment in a secure setting. Program staff provide comprehensive services including therapy, education programming, therapeutic recreation, vocational programming and volunteer services, health and wellness to clients in a therapeutic environment where safety and security are at the forefront of all campus activities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Therapy, Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Services, Recreational Therapy, or a very highly related field.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience with mental health and/or sexual offender treatment or assessment
  • 2 years professional level clinical experience providing services to people in a mental health or sexual offender setting
