The Distribution Specialist Senior serves as a primary resource and information consultant regarding property issues at MSOP St. Peter, Community Preparation Services (CPS), and Forensic Services. The Distribution Specialist Senior will assist facility staff with all property related issues, provide current and accurate records of client/patient owned property, and review incoming and outgoing client/patient property with a major emphasis on security and ensuring contraband does not enter the facility via property processing.
Responsibilities Include:
Understand and properly implement policies, procedures, and statutes governing client rights to process client property that is entering or leaving the facility.
Inspect incoming and outgoing property so that no contraband is smuggled in or out of the facility and ensure that property is processed within the controls of Department of Human Services and program policies and procedures.
Process client/patient property as it relates to client/patient movement.
Create and maintain current, accurate, and accessible client/patient inventory records.
Sort legal and special correspondence form general mail; complying with Facility Retention Schedules; dispersing mail in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
Provide a safe and secure facility so that the clients/patients receive quality professional services in a therapeutic environment that is safe for client and staff.

Minimum Qualifications
To be further considered, you must meet the following qualifications listed below:
Skill in customer service sufficient to Provide prompt and accurate information to clients in person, on the phone and other written or electronic correspondence
Skill in Using spreadsheet applications, such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to enter, compile, store, and retrieve data
Skill In Typing/Keyboarding, using Microsoft Word or equivalent software, sufficient to produce documents such as emails and other correspondence in an efficient and timely manner
Skill in word processing sufficient to Prepare, edit, and finalize emails, memos, reports, and/or other documents and types of written communication that are grammatically correct, in proper format, and free of spelling errors
Ability to move and/or transport items weighing up to 50 pounds.
