This position is responsible for providing analysis and support for the Department of Human Services’ (DHS) physical security, facilities, hybrid technology integration, and parking and transportation operations. This position will primarily focus on creating and maintaining project, process, and data analysis tools to evaluate performance of the overall security, facilities, hybrid technology integration, and parking and transportations projects. The incumbent is expected to also serve as backup for the Physical Security Coordinator and/or Facilities Management Coordinator in his/her absence. This position will create and maintain communication and educational materials for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  • Ensure that appropriate and accurate data, analysis, and reporting are available to support physical security, facilities, hybrid technology integration, and parking and transportation operations initiatives.

  • Provide outreach and direction both within DHS and to external state agencies and community partners on best practices in physical security and facilities.

  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of security, facilities, hybrid technology integration, and parking and transportation operations documentation, including procedures, forms, presentations, SharePoint content, and educational/informational materials.

  • Support the Workplace Enterprise Services and Strategy Manager and security and facilities teams on project management (PM), business analysis (BA), and quality assurance (QA) work as needed.

  • Support all DHS parking and transportation responsibilities and duties including alternative transportation, various parking and transportation lots and leases, parking contracts, and the DHS building-to-building shuttle.

  • Sustain and build on data management/analysis, communication, and business and project management expertise.

Minimum Qualifications

One (1) year professional Facilities Management, Property Management or Technology Management experience.

OR

Three (3) years advanced technical or paraprofessional experience in facilities, customer service, or technology installation and management.

OR

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two (2) years advanced technical or paraprofessional experience in facilities, customer service, or technology installation and management.

Experience must clearly demonstrate:

  • Experience with security, facilities, hybrid technology integration, or parking and transportation operations.

  • Experience with accurate data, analysis, and reporting.

  • Experience supporting project management tasks like workspace consolidation or service improvements.

  • Written and verbal communication skills to successfully work with a wide range of professions and customers from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

  • Work with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with audio visual installations and maintenance or production

  • Experience with process improvement and project management tools.

  • Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
