Job Description:

** The Minnesota Department of Transportation does not sponsor applicants for work visas or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment.

This position is temporary, classified full time position anticipated to last 6 months.

This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul and has flexibility to work a hybrid schedule or work full-time in the office. If the incumbent chooses a hybrid schedule, a telework arrangement with their supervisor is required.

This position exists to provide training registration support services for approximately 1,500 MnDOT employees located within the Capitol Complex who request to attend training/workshops/conferences. This position assists employees in the registration, processing, and tracking of professional development requests. This position is responsible for reviewing data submitted by employees within emails and EIOR’s (electronic inter office request) for completeness, completing internal or external vendor registration, ensuring payment processes are in place or completed, entering accurate data into Learning Management System to include establishing the class in the database, placement in class, employee notification, roster updates, and finalizing class status upon completion.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of communication sufficient to follow detailed instructions and explain complex processes to customers.

  • Ability to explain the reasons for transactions and procedures, rules, and regulations so that others understand the information they are being given.

  • Knowledge of standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases sufficient to create, modify, and protect files.

  • Knowledge of the structure and purpose of policies and procedures sufficient to develop and use them in a public sector environment.

  • Ability to complete work activities to achieve work area goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Learning Management System(s).
