Job Summary :
HVAC Technical Trainer responsibilities include the following: Develop, plan, deliver and organize instructor-led, in person and virtual, HVAC technical training programs to meet Trane Commercial System's needs. This role will provide instruction for customer and Trane Service Technicians on a variety of Trane commercial products and systems as well as fundamental HVAC training. They will analyze learning needs and partner with subject matter experts, as necessary, to provide input for delivery of course content as well as plan and coordinate skill assessments and training. The position will also test and facilitate training sessions during the introduction-phase of new programs. Typically, up to 75% of time is spent developing and delivering training.
This position is remote within a geography. Must reside within a 4-hour drive to office.
Office Location - 2213 S 20th Street, La Crosse, WI
Responsibilities:
Deliver classroom instructor-led and Instructor Led Virtual Training on assigned topics in La Crosse, WI, at regional Trane Commercial Sales Offices (CSO), and at various customer locations within Commercial HVAC Americas.
Develop technical courses using instructional systems design methodologies.
Assist in evaluation and update of all training courses.
Assist in eLearning development acting as a content Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Assist engineering in new product development activities.
Minimum of 30% travel required in support of customer, corporate, and field office training events, more as needed or if remotely located.
Qualifications:
At least 7 years work experience with commercial HVAC field service required.
Strong understanding of refrigeration and electrical fundamentals.
Trane equipment preferred.
Associates or HVAC vocational degree or equivalent HVAC training program completion required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Engineering is preferred, but not required.
Training/development experience is preferred.
Key Competencies:
Extensive understanding of unitary rooftop systems. Including Multi-Zone VAV, Single Zone VAV and Constant Volume applications preferred.
Ability to communicate with multiple levels of attendee experience and knowledge required.
Instructional system design/development experience preferred.
MS Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint knowledge required.
Must have excellent written and verbal skills.
Knowledge of Trane field office service operations preferred.
Must be a team player who interacts effectively.
Must be flexible and adaptable to changing demands and priorities.
Must be self-sufficient and a self-starter who requires minimal direction.
Annual Base Pay Range - $94,500 - $119,500
