This Apprenticeship Training Field Representative Senior position is a temporary unclassified grant position with an anticipated end date of June 30, 2027.
This position is designated for hybrid and telework options:
- Hybrid for State of MN allows an employee to work a portion of the time remotely with a regular schedule of time at the designated office.
This position exists to ensure Apprenticeship Minnesota policies are in alignment with state and federal requirements and to ensure alignment between Apprenticeship Minnesota activities and the state workforce system.
Responsibilities include:
Develop, lead and coordinate trainings for apprenticeship programs.
Develop resources for program sustainability and new registered apprenticeship programs.
Provide ongoing technical assistance to workforce system partners in greater Minnesota.
Conduct trainings on post-registration supports with new registered apprenticeship programs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years’ experience* developing career readiness, apprenticeship readiness, or administering outreach or workforce programs
OR
Two (2) years’ experience* in secondary or post-secondary education, as a teacher or counselor.
*Experience includes internships, fellowships, volunteering, and work experience that are directly related to the job duties.
** Doctorate degree may substitute for two years of experience; Master's degree may substitute for eighteen months of experience; Bachelor's degree may substitute for one year of experience; Associates degree may substitute for six months of experience.
Experience must demonstrate the following:
Ability to develop and deliver trainings and presentations.
Human relations skills to develop and maintain productive working relationships with diverse staff, stakeholders, and clientele.
Skill in using Microsoft Office Suite programs.
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, including those who may not share your same culture, ethnicity, language, or common experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility principles.
Experience in Quality Assurance.
Experience in developing and administering outreach programs and strategies for inclusion of underrepresented communities.
Knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to apprenticeship training.
Knowledge of business practices for on-the-job training in a wide variety of occupations sufficient to assess a programs needs and recommend viable options and resources.
Language skills other than English (Spanish, Somali, Hmong, Karen or ASL).
