The Office of Cannabis Management is currently seeking a Registry & Support Supervisor to oversee the daily administration and operation of the Division of Medical Cannabis (DMC) in relation to the medical cannabis registry and associated support center.

This position is located in St. Paul and may telework from home two days per week and is expected to be in the office three days per week.

A successful incumbent in this position will be able to:

  • Provide management & oversight to the DMC registry and support center staff and provide a high level of customer service

  • Ensure program objectives are met effectively and efficiently

  • Provide management and oversight for the DMC registry and support center data systems

  • Provide quality assurance checks and continuously improve the customer experience while ensuring regulatory compliance

Minimum Qualifications

To facilitate proper years of service crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.

  • Supervisory or lead worker experience OR completion of the State’s Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI), Senior Leadership Institute (SLI), Strategic Effectiveness for Aspiring Leaders (SEAL), or similar leadership development program OR a paid or unpaid position leading a program or chairing a committee (leading a program or chairing a committee must include 1+ years of identifying issues, goals, and strategic actions and 100+ hours per year time commitment)

  • Three (3) years of customer service experience which includes entering and managing data and/or operating in a call center environment

  • Skill in customer service sufficient to effectively and respectfully answer questions and advise customers of program policies, procedures, and regulations

  • Skill in database management sufficient to set up and run basic queries, review and analyze data, and identify problem areas

  • Skill in directing the work activities of employees to ensure standards, deadlines, and procedures/processes are being met

  • Excellent communication skills sufficient to effectively deliver complex information to a variety of audiences

  • The ability to celebrate diversity and a strong commitment to a respectful and inclusive work environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisory or management experience in a call center environment

  • Knowledge of MN medical cannabis laws and regulations

  • Experience in the cannabis, hemp, or other county, state, or federally regulated industry

  • Experience drafting policies, procedures, rules, etc.

Additional Requirements
