This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul. This position will have the flexibility to telecommute, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to complete a telework agreement. The incumbent may be expected to work in the office on occasion.

You will provide leadership, guidance, and strategic direction for financial and administrative operations and services for the Office of Maintenance that expedite State, MnDOT, and Operations Division priorities and to assure effective delivery of transportation product and services. You’ll serve as a member of the Office of Maintenance’s Management Team providing leadership, guidance, and direction for the financial and administrative operations and program section; assist the Office of Maintenance’s Office Director with organizational and operational planning to assure strategic results are achieved.

You will coordinate goals and collaborate with partners in Central Office and Districts to plan, organize, implement, evaluate, and adjust the following in support of internal and external customer experiences:

  • Coordinate strategic management and business planning initiatives – department, division, and office;

  • Manage office financial requirements (budget, accounts payable and receivable, purchasing, property management, inventory);

  • Manage office human resources and workforce planning (labor relations, staffing, diversity and inclusion, organizational and employee development);

You will also manage two statewide programs: statewide Adopt a Highway program and Damage Restitution program providing direction to all eight districts.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of managerial experience; OR, three years of professional supervisory (supervising professional employees) experience; OR, four years of advanced professional experience which demonstrates public or business administration in a large organization.
