The Office is currently seeking an IT Infrastructure Supervisor in the IT Division of the Office. The IT Infrastructure Supervisor supports the mission of the Office by overseeing the daily operations and management of the Office’s network/systems and cybersecurity teams. Incumbents supervise technical staff, ensuring the maintenance and optimization of hardware, software, and networks, and managing IT projects to meet organizational goals. Incumbents play a key role in troubleshooting technical issues, providing guidance on system security, implementing best practices, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. Incumbents collaborate with other departments to assess technology needs, recommend improvements, and ensure the smooth functioning of IT systems across the organization. Strong leadership, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. Incumbents must have superb customer service skills and a passion to create a culture of excellence in IT. Incumbents must be detail oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. This position is eligible for a hybrid work environment. This position reports to the IT Division Manager.
A successful candidate will be able to:
Manage the day-to-day activities of the network/systems and cybersecurity teams to ensure completion of activities in a timely manner;
Serve as an individual expert and leader to network, systems, cloud, and cybersecurity IT staff;
Provide leadership and supervision to IT staff;
Ensure that employees are productive and motivated;
Hire staff, assign work, set priorities, evaluate performance, and assess staff training needs;
Mentor, motivate, and oversee technical development of staff by assessing training needs and conducting training to help achieve their goals;
Contribute to the development of standards, methods, policies, and procedures;
Assist with the development and recommendations of budgets and controls expenditures;
Manage the operations of assigned IT areas, including costs, methods, technology, and vendor management;
Analyze complex and technical problems requiring diagnosis, testing, and judgment of which procedure is most important;
Assess and evaluate operations to identify functional adjustments to improve performance;
Recommend changes to system hardware, software, operations, and facilities to meet standards and department's mission;
Advise management of required changes and ensure the development and implementation of systems improvement;
Participate in developing and maintaining IT disaster recovery planning;
Focus on short-term operational planning and execution of plans to achieve annual results;
Determine the way work should be completed within established guidelines;
Develop short-and long-range plans;
Prepare project-phase plans, schedules, and cost estimates;
Research, plan for, and assist in the installation of new or upgraded IT needs and requirements; and
Keep current on IT technology and advancements.
Advise users and management on IT needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Degree in business administration, management, information technology, or closely related field (experience may substitute for degree)
Five or more years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, server/storage/network engineering, cybersecurity, and/or related disciplines
Two or more years of supervisory/management experience
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to work independently, collaborate and work effectively as part of a team, ability to prioritize projects and multi-task, and have strong interpersonal skills with both stakeholders and team members
Possess strong knowledge of management practices and current trends in information technology
Experience in: Network design and configuration; routing and switching technologies; network performance monitoring and troubleshooting; server and operating system management; virtualization and cloud infrastructure; backup and recovery; security infrastructure; security incident management; vulnerability management and penetration testing; security compliance; project management; team leadership; resource allocation and scheduling; automation and scripting; disaster recovery planning; high availability and load balancing; regulatory compliance; incident management and service desk

Knowledge of:
CJIS Compliance
NIST Cybersecurity Framework
Experience in:
- Conducting technical training; analyzing and explaining complex data and analytics to management and external stakeholders; participating in short-and long-range IT planning including developing and implementing policies and procedures
